Through a large number of investigations and summary of test data, the new standard stipulates the main technical contents of tea filter paper including: quantitative and deviation, tightness and deviation, tensile strength, longitudinal wet tensile strength, heat sealing strength, air permeability, D65 brightness, Delivery moisture, odor, tea leakage test and appearance quality.

Tea filter paper is generally white paper. In order to make the brightness of the product relatively consistent, the new standard stipulates the D65 brightness index, which requires reducing the fluctuation of the color. The new standard changes the original "air permeability" to "air volume". In order to keep the paper moisture within a more reasonable range, make the physical properties of the paper more stable and the product consistency better, the new standard also adjusts the exchange moisture index and specifies the upper and lower limits of the exchange moisture. In order to ensure the quality of tea bags and avoid the quality of tea being affected by the peculiar smell of tea filter paper, the new standard also clearly proposes that the tea filter paper is required to have no peculiar smell.
